The founder of the SIL Group was Joaquim Carlos Silveira. In 1955, aged 20, he started work as a builder and real estate developer. He carried out a number of town-planning and construction projects and dedicated the last years of his life to consolidating the SIL Group.
Pedro Silveira joined the company in 1985. He reorganised the Group and is now its Chief Executive Officer.
The SIL Group is still a completely Portuguese conglomerate. We aim to maintain our presence in the Greater Lisbon area, the market likely to remain the largest in Portugal.
